The 90 Day Social Media Marketing Implementation Plan

The 90 Day Social Media Marketing Implementation Plan

I’m spending this week getting ready for the NTEN Conference.   If you’re not familiar with NTEN it’s just a wonderful organization – focusing on how technology helps non-profits to succeed. I’m speaking along with @imagistic at a session called Real Social Media Marketing: Moving From Buzz To Benefits.

So, Michael Weiss (@imagistic) and I are trying something a little new for this session. Our conference session is an hour and a half – and we’re going to talk for about 30% of it. We’re calling it the “3’s”: three myths, three case studies, and three months to success. The rest of the time, we’re going to spend talking with all the attendees. We’re going to answer questions, share our war stories, hopefully generate some new friends – and have a live, running feed of the session as it happens.

But we wanted to make sure that we were delivering a lot of content – which is the main directive of course. So, instead of us going through a long, involved PowerPoint, we figured that was something folks could do after they got back from the event. Plus we figured that anybody who missed the session would get value out of it as well.

So, we’ve put together our 90 Day Social Media Marketing Implementation Plan (yeah, I know it’s a long title right?). It’s the talk we’re going to give at NTEN – combined with a ten page (hopefully) helpful plan/process for how to put together the process for your Social Media Marketing efforts.

I’m hoping that if you’re trying to figure out Social Media Marketing in your organization (whether it’s non-profit or not) that this is helpful.

And, if you’re in Atlanta – let me know…. Last time I was there I learned the difference between ITL and OTL (Inside the Loop and Outside the Loop). I’m really looking forward to some good food, good friends and a good time.
